M2PB respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who we are

M2PB is a software house operating between Portugal and Brazil, serving clients in PT, BR and US. Site: m2pb.com. Privacy email: pm@m2pb.com. WhatsApp: +351 939 568 454.

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum needed to understand site usage and respond to your contact:

  • Technical browser data (anonymized IP, device, language) — via Google Analytics 4
  • Site behavior (clicks, scroll, anonymized session recordings) — via Microsoft Clarity
  • M2Chat conversations — stored in YOUR browser (localStorage) + sent to Anthropic to generate the reply
  • Data you send us voluntarily (WhatsApp message, email, form)

3. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and localStorage in these categories:

  • Essential — language preference (m2pb_lang), consent choice (m2pb_consent). Required, no opt-out.
  • Analytics — GA4 (_ga, _ga_*), Clarity (_clck, _clsk). Only loaded if you consent.
  • M2Chat — conversation history (m2chat_history_v1_*). Only stored if you consent.

We share data with:

5. Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Port your data to another service
  • Revoke consent at any time (use "Manage cookies" in the footer) — Manage cookies
  • File a complaint with your data protection authority (CNPD in PT, ANPD in Brazil)

6. Data retention

GA4 retains data for 14 months. Clarity retains for 13 months. M2Chat conversations stay only in your browser until you clear them. Contact emails are kept while relevant to handle the request + 5 years for legal/accounting obligations.

7. Changes to this policy

We update when there's a real change to what we collect. The date above reflects the latest version. Significant changes are announced on the site.
